FSBM Holdings Berhad was incorporated in 1984 as Talasco Computers Sdn Bhd.

In 1991, Talasco Computers Sdn Bhd changed its name to Fujitsu Systems Business (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd when Fujitsu Ltd of Japan acquired a 20% equity interest in the Company. The right to use the name Fujitsu by a local Malaysian company was extremely significant as it reflected the level of confidence Fujitsu Japan (then the 2nd largest computer company in the world) had in the local management of Fujitsu Systems Business (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to carry out the information technology business of Fujitsu in Malaysia.

In 1994, the Company was listed as Fujitsu on Bursa Malaysia. By 2001, we had diversified into non-Fujitsu products and services as well as extended our business activities outside Malaysia, hence resulting in a change of our name to FSBM Holdings Berhad.
